Why Fuel National Security
The Federal government and partner resources driving national defense are highly complex and fragmented. It is daunting for startups and high-potential companies to identify their best fit within government needs, and the government often misses out on the best potential solutions for their problems.
Current tools to bridge this gap are merely “point solutions”, and most are too costly and slow, and often rely on long-established defense channels. Because of this, the US Government seeks to more effectively leverage both the “non-traditional ecosystem” (non-defense commercial enterprise and small business) and the established defense ecosystem (prime contractors, universities) to accelerate disruptive capabilities faster, with lower risk and greater affordability. However, the barriers to entry for non-traditional small businesses are high, and the learning curve is steep.
Fuel National Security was created to facilitate the entry of high-potential small businesses into the Defense supply chain by aggregating federal and prime contractor resources; simplifying or facilitating requirements for training, security, and compliance; and making access to new federal opportunities more predictable and less painful.
